Post subject: Has thin ever really been in?

I have never met a guy who really liked a skinny girl. So why is that considered the standard of beauty? Why is a woman 5'10" who weighs 115 lbs who is so thin you can almost see her lungs in every magazine and on every billboard around the world?
The majority of the guys I know like a woman with some meat on her bones. So who decided some scrawny, flat chested "super model" should be the example for all women? It strikes me as funny that in the US the average woman is a size 14 but then a model that size is catogorized as a plus size model.
I used to be so skinny that my mom had to buy my pants in the boys department. I had no hips and no behind to speak of.. I spent my late teens and most of my twenties as a gym rat. I was heavily into bodybuilding to the point that on two ocassions I was mistaken for a boy. I finally filled out in my 30's and I like it! I like looking like a girl, I have nice tas that I like to show off. I even have a butt (somewhat).
So what do I say to those women who insist on starving themselves to look like someone else's idea of perfection? Eat a cheeseburger honey! Life is just too short.
