Warner Strategic Marketing and Women's Fitness Network

Friday, April 22 @ 09:15:53 EDT
LOS ANGELES, CA - Warner Strategic Marketing (WSM) and Women's Fitness Network have announced the signing of a long-term deal to market and distribute new fitness videos created by Anna and Cynthia Benson, co-founders of the best-selling line, The Firm.

The videos will be supported by national infomercial campaigns and distributed through WEA starting in the fall 2004 with a retail release of six WFN videos in first quarter 2005.

Ahmed Tahir, Co-Founder of Women's Fitness Network, said, "The agreement with WSM is a unique collaboration that enables the planning and coordination of infomercials to maximize the retail release. The infomercials will serve to educate the consumer about the new product, tap the growing marketplace of women seeking better results from exercise, and drive sales at retail."

WSM President Scott Pascucci commented, "We are very excited to be working with Frank (Co-Founder), Ahmed and the Benson sisters on their new venture. Their success set the standard for fitness videos, and Women's Fitness Network will once again raise the bar."

For the past two years, the Bensons, creators of the acclaimed "Firm Aerobic Workout with Weights," have been developing their new video line based on new exercise science that enables quicker results. Former partner and medical writer Mark Henriksen will script the infomercial. The Bensons and Henriksen founded The Firm in 1980 and sold their rights in that product line to GoodTimes Entertainment in 2002, the year that The Firm garnered infomercial of the year award.
