The Team In Training® program of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society North
Texas Chapter is currently recruiting for the Winter 2005 training season.
Train to run, walk, swim or cycle from experienced coaches while raising money
in honor of leukemia and lymphoma research and patient services. Participants
get an expense-paid trip to the marathon, century ride, or triathlon in the
city of their choice. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society dedicates 75 percent
of every dollar spent to fostering the Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma,
myeloma and Hodgkin's disease, and improve the quality of life of patients and
their families. Since the first North Texas team that traveled to the 1994 Honolulu
Marathon, the Chapter has had the opportunity to train over 8,000 runners, walkers,
cyclists and triathletes. In addition, the North Texas Chapter sponsors a variety
of different Team In Training events four times a year, such as Nike Women's
Marathon and Maui Marathon.

Because of the on-going support of the community, the North Texas Chapter has
continued to grow rapidly, resulting in over $3.5 million raised in the 2005
fiscal year. For fiscal year 2006, the North Texas Chapter's goal is to raise
$4 million. It may be hot outside, but Winter is definitely on our mind. Don't
miss out on joining the Winter 2005 training season. The North Texas Chapter
will be hosting several informational meetings throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth
Metroplex. (listed below).
