The NWFA's 2005 schedule is now out and there are some major changes in the overall lineup.
This year, instead of having so many divisions, the league will be split into
two conferences, Northern and the Southern. By doing this, teams around the
league will have the opportunity to play many new teams and not be so locked
into their divisional opponents. The league was set up this way the very first
year and league officials think this offers teams a much more equal playing
field. The play off scenario will be announced shortly.
NWFA To Sanction Officials
The NWFA in 2005 will require that all league officials be sanctioned by the
Commissioner's office. In order to be sanctioned, all officials must register
with the league and pass a test. This will go a long way in making sure that
the officials who work NWFA games understand the rules and are capable of making
the best calls possible.

Douglas, a leading manufacturer of football, baseball and hockey protective
equipment and T3K, a premium brand of performance apparel and base layer body-wear
founded by All-Pro Defensive Lineman Simeon Rice of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
have teamed up on a co-branded product development effort designed specifically

protective, sports bra designed to withstand the rigors of women’s football,
hockey, soccer and other contact sports. Invented by Pam McQueer, the owner
of the first women’s football team in Michigan, the products are scheduled
to ship to sporting goods retailers by mid-2005.
“The majority of protective garments out on the market have not been
geared to the unique physical attributes of female athletes,” stated Pam
McQueer. I was excited by the commitment by both Douglas and T3K to tackle this
opportunity. Together we look forward to finally offering women products that
while delivering equal protection, do not compromise comfort or mobility.”
